Sessions will include instruction on

• ring defense
• checking
• shooting
• passing
• skating skills and more
• followed by a fun scrimmage.

Goalies are invited to join and can use their own equipment or can use NWVRA gear. Goalies pay half of the full registration cost.

Instructors

Coordinator: Dani Brassington 

Dani Brassington a local North Vancouver player, has been involved in ringette for over 25 years as both a player and a coach. In recent years she led the BC Provincial Excellence program, prepared multiple teams for the Canadian Ringette Championships at the U19 and NRL level, worked with Team BC for the 2019 and 2023 CWG cycles, and the 2023 Team Canada U18 National Development Program. Currently she is the assistant coach for U16 Team BC and head coach for U18 Team Canada West. We are lucky to have Dani’s knowledge as part of our Spring Ring Program.

Guest Coaches - Along with Dani, we have aligned a number of successful Zone players who have competed at all levels of Ringette in Canada. We are excited to have them bring their unique skills to experiences along with Dani to help our younger players develop!

Eligibility

Spring Ring is open to ringette players of appropriate age from NWVRA and other associations registered under Ringette BC, as well as ringette or hockey players who did not play ringette in BC in 2023-24 (NWVRA will cover Ringette BC insurance costs for these players).

The goalie fee is available for all Ringette goalies for both sessions who play full time goalie or Hockey goalies who join the 8:00 - 9:00 PM ice time.
