Program

North West Vancouver Ringette is excited to offer its Spring Ring program again this year. This program is sanctioned and insured through Ringette BC and offers 11 sessions of ringette development on Friday nights from March 31 to June 9 at the West Vancouver Arena.

Sessions will include instruction on ring defence, checking, shooting, passing, skating skills and more, followed by a fun scrimmage.  This year, full-time goalies (born 2009-2012) are invited to join for goalie-specific training each week followed by scrimmage with skaters.  Goalies can use their own equipment or can use NWVRA gear, and pay half of the full registration cost.

Coaches are from the National Ringette League, Zone programs (including a Zone-level coach for goalies), and dedicated skating instructors.  It will be a fun and challenging time for all kids.

Friday nights, March 31 to June 9

(including Good Friday, April 7)

  • 6:45-7:45 pm – Players born 2013-2016
  • 8:00-9:00 pm – Players born 2009-2012* (To be split into two groups: Skaters and Goalies, with skaters and goalies joining to scrimmage after skills session*)

Program Fee

This program is subsidized through NWVRA member fundraising to keep costs down and encourage participation.

  • $75/full-time goalie (please contact us if you need to borrow gear)

Eligibility

Spring Ring is open to ringette players of appropriate age from NWVRA and other associations registered under Ringette BC, as well as ringette or hockey players who did not play ringette in BC in 2022-23.

* Skaters born before 2009 can register and join the 8:00-9:00 session for skating and drills, but cannot participate in scrimmages due to Ringette BC restrictions.  Goalies born before 2009 can also join in scrimmages.
